If you are looking for a no-compromise flagship smartphone no without spending a lot of money, you probably have a OnePlus phone in mind. OnePlus 7 Pro was launched earlier this year. It announced the company’s intention to directly implement a full-size device such as the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Huawei P30 Pro. It was a strong competitor and offered top-notch performance for half the price.
Five months later, OnePlus returns with the update. After upgrading to OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro is a much more modest update.
Here is the review of OnePlus 7T Pro on Gadget Center .
- An impressing stunning design
- Top-level Hardware
- fantastic Oxygen OS
- An affordable flagship compare to others
- The camera isn’t good compared to other flagships
- No IP Certification
- No headphone jack
OnePlus 7T Pro review: At a glance
OnePlus 7T Pro is a mid-term upgrade from the company’s premium offer. So there are limited improvements. Following in the footsteps of one of the fastest phones, it’s not a bad position. However, OnePlus 7T Pro increases your processing skills at the speed you need by using the latest and most powerful Snapdragon chipset.
The latest OnePlus device still offers a perfect and unbeatable price-performance ratio. Sure, there’s the Redmi K20 Pro, but MIUI isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. At the same time in India, you can get ROG Phone 2 for cheaper. Is ROG a better phone? For some, of course. But its large size and aesthetic player are not geared towards massive attraction.
OnePlus 7T Pro is for those who are looking for the best without spending a lot of money. it nails just about everything you need for a 2019 flagship, and few flaws are easy to overlook saving money. Else there’s the OnePlus 7T.
The packaging of the OnePlus 7T Pro box is a bit excessive for the lack of a better word. The package contains a 30W Warp charger, a red OnePlus USB-A to USB-C cable, and a transparent protective cover. There is minimalist typography in front. It includes OnePlus decals and a letter from the CEO that welcomes you to the community.
Of course, you also get everything you need to get started, except the USB-C headphone adapter, which OnePlus and other OEMs no longer need. It comes with a transparent and cheap TPU case that is simple but functional. It covers the lips and the back of the phone and provides additional support and protection.
OnePlus has messed up the OnePlus 7T, especially the round camera module that resembled a Huawei Mate 30 Pro. For the 7T Pro, however, OnePlus remained a more well-known model. That is the five-month-old OnePlus 7 Pro. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
The smartphone looks and feels just as I would expect from a modern flagship. The AMOLED display is arched on the side like the Samsung Galaxy Phone of recent years. The popular notification slider, a hallmark of OnePlus smartphones, is still on the right side of the phone above the on/off switch. The same space-saving SIM tray, in which two Nano-SIM cards are stacked on top of each other, can be taken from below.
You need to look carefully to find the differences between 7 Pro and 7T Pro, but they exist. For example, the laser focus on the back of the phone in the new version has been moved from the inside of the camera module to the left side of the camera. The reason for that is a mystery to me.
In terms of visibility and build quality, OnePlus has maintained its high standards with 7T Pro. The design may not be the most striking in this vibrant, modern trend for smartphones, but it’s done well, it feels like rock-solid, and I’m a little bit disappointed. OnePlus calls this color options Blue Hazel. It is a carpet effect that is very pleasing to the eyes but does not touch.
Unlike the standard 7T with a dewdrop notch, the 7T Pro features a flip-up selfie camera that lets you enjoy a 6.67-inch AMOLED display in all its glory. Having spent some time with Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Mi 9T Pro this year, I quickly become a big defender of the cameras we develop, as they offer the benefits of full-screen mode.
This is the same QHD+ screen we saw on a regular 7 Pro. It’s good because it’s a fantastic display with a few tricks that take it to the next level. Most notable at the beginning is the refresh rate of 90 Hz. It seems trivial, just part of the number game that controls the world of smartphones, but it’s one of the things that, once you get used to it, cause the past very far back. Do you remember the first time you saw traditional TV after switching to HD? It’s the same feeling.
The default resolution is 3,120×1,440 pixels (516 PPI). However, you can also select an FHD+ resolution. It is also possible, depending on the display, to automatically switch between two resolutions. The Horizon Light feature, which uses the curved edges of the screen as a kind of compensation for the notification light, has also reached the 7T Pro. It was reported online that the Android 10 update caused problems for OnePlus 7 Pro owners but runs smoothly on our review unit, which also uses the latest Google software.
OnePlus is launching the latest version of OxygenOS based on Android 10 this year. The latest software update brings several improvements to the user interface. There are more creative options for colors, themes, and icon packs, and new animations for the screen fingerprint sensor and lock screen. These new settings are now classified in the configuration area in the new customization area.
OnePlus also announced in London that from the second quarter of 2020, the latest software for smartphones from OnePlus 5 will be released. OnePlus 6 and 6T will receive an update next month.
There is also a new gesture control that is very similar to the Android 10 gesture control. For me, switching between Google Pixel and the new OnePlus 7T Pro was perfect for gesture-based navigation.
If there is something that OnePlus has established in this business, it is speed. Fast and smooth performance is probably the main reason why these phones are purchased. The OnePlus 7T Pro includes the new Snapdragon 855+, and the tested version has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The 10-story liquid cooling system we saw on the May flagship is also included in this variant T.
The combination of OxygenOS, the company’s lightweight Android customization, the powerful processor and the liquid cooling system make OnePlus 7T Pro a powerful source of energy. The 90 Hz display also makes the operation more fluid. The experience during my review period was smooth as silk, whether or not I was in the camera application trying to bring the phone to its performance limits. If you are looking for a clean and fast smartphone experience, OnePlus is still the right manufacturer.
As you can see from the comparison results in the table above OnePlus 7T Pro is as good as the OnePlus 7T in terms of performance. If you choose the Pro version, you will not get much speed, but both phones are fast and fast. In terms of power, you look a little better than the Galaxy Note 10, Samsung’s top device.
The OnePlus 7T Pro features stereo speakers thanks to a conversion speakers paired with Dolby Atmos technology. The box has neither a headphone jack nor a 3.5mm USB dongle. Then go through the Bluetooth route to be most likely to hear the sound on this device. This is another industry trend that OnePlus wants to follow. The sound is good with the OnePlus 7T Pro. I like a perfect match between the 7T Pro and the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2. It’s nice to have Dolby Atmos stuff, but I always recommend using headphones when you hear or see something on your smartphone.

- 16-megapixel sensor
- 17mm equivalent focal length
- 117 degrees field of view
- Macro shooting: with an integrated engine in the ultrawide-angle sensor, it is possible to make a 2.5cm focus for macro pictures.
- Multi-autofocus system: PDAF, CAF and laser autofocus
The new OnePlus 7T Pro camera is very similar to that of the OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus has worked hard on the software side with the seventh generation of its smartphones and has continued this trend with this new 7T Pro. The deeper we get into photography In this area, the more consistent the hardware side will be. The full specifications for this triple rearview camera are below. The foldable selfie camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
The hardware is familiar to me, but the software has received some adjustments. Thanks to the latest version of OxygenOS based on Android 10, new wide-angle modes are available. Now you can record videos and use the power display with a wide-angle lens (no hacking).
The photos taken with the OnePlus 7 Pro were very good and you can expect more from this 7T Pro. During the test, it was obvious that OnePlus had made a big leap in quality between the 6-7 series, but only a small one between the 7 and the 7T series.
With the new macro mode, you can now take pictures of subjects that are only 2.5 cm away. It’s fine, but it’s also on a normal 7T. Elsewhere, OnePlus has updated its gallery application to add more AI tags to identify and organize photos. All of this happens on the device for privacy reasons and not in the cloud.
Typically, the OnePlus 7T Pro is a second-level fixed camera phone. Most users are completely satisfied with the quality of the camera, but if you compare this directly with the Huawei P30 Pro or Google Pixel 3, you can see the difference between “very good” and “high quality”.
The OnePlus 7T Pro battery is slightly larger at 4,085 mAh than the 7 Pro cell at 4,000 mAh. The larger battery is also one of the reasons why one would choose the 7T Pro for the normal 7T. The 3800 mAh of the non-Pro version is not much smaller, but with this QHD + display and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, every hour of a millimeter is counted.
Of course, testing the average OnePlus 7T Pro battery is complicated due to the built-in display technology. With a 90Hz screen, the phone lasted almost 8.5 hours in the PC Mark battery test. This is lower than some other important flagship models on the market, such as the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, but this refresh rate will damage your battery. However, it can change to 60 Hz to save juice. During the test phase, I preferred to leave the screen at 90 Hz. I can usually handle a charge all day, but only if I leave the house 100% in the morning. If you still have to download, there is good news.
OnePlus is back with the new fast charging technology and the 7T Pro comes with a Warp Charge 30T box. The Chinese company says it is 23 percent faster than its Warp Charge 30. The amount is impressive, with a full charge in less than an hour. During my tests, I was able to increase the 7T Pro from 13% to 84% in 30 minutes. After another 10 minutes, the phone’s battery was 92 percent. That is something impressive.

In India, the OnePlus 7T Pro costs around 53,999 rupees (715 US dollars) more than the corresponding OnePlus 7 Pro. At the same time, the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition is just as expensive as the 12 GB version of OnePlus 7 Pro RAM.
Undoubtedly, this is an expensive phone, and OnePlus is constantly raising the price with the next generations. However, there are not many cell phones that can match the OnePlus 7T Pro in terms of experience, hardware, and aesthetics, especially at this price. The phone continues to weaken competing flagships, and OnePlus is confident that there will be a few hundred dollars between the average ranger and the top-of-the-range flagship to improve the price range.
OnePlus 7T Pro is a small update of the standard 7 Pro operating system that does not attract current owners to upgrade. Rather, it is a smartphone that expands the range of corporate smartphones. This seems to be a concern for all manufacturers. Unlike the 7T, which is a significant update of the normal OnePlus 7, the difference between the two Pro models is much smaller.
The OnePlus 7T Pro remains a device for those looking to move to the fifth or sixth generation, not for fans of the brand that only look for the latest device. The biggest peak on the 7T Pro side is the normal 7T Pro. The OnePlus 7T contains 90% of the features and features of the Pro model and costs £549. If you opt for the 7T Pro, you will pay $150 for an emerging selfie camera instead of a notch.View on Amazon View on Walmart View on Gearbest View on AliExpress
